Rod has been in the financial services industry for over twenty years and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). Prior to beginning his career in wealth management, Rod owned and operated a small boutique audio and video company. He believes that his years running his own company provided him with invaluable insight into the operations of a successful businesses.

Rod studied Kinesiology at Dalhousie and the University of Calgary, where he competed as a varsity volleyball athlete. Rod has competed nationally as a member of Team Canada Men’s Volleyball and continues to contribute to the sport as a coach and mentor. His years competing internationally have taught him the importance of setting and achieving goals through discipline, commitment, and hard work.

Rod enjoys golf and is passionate about playing and writing music. Rod is married to his wife Karen, and together they have two children who they love to spend their free time with.
