Mark is a life-long entrepreneur who understands how difficult it is to acquire, grow and preserve wealth. He believes that a strong financial acumen prepares families and businesses to successfully adapt to a changing world.
Mark’s investment career began with VanCity Credit Union in 2004. During his 10 years with VanCity he specialized in ‘socially responsible investing’ before moving on to join HollisWealth in 2014.
In 2010 Mark also became the weekly financial columnist for CBC Radio’s ‘On the Coast’ with Gloria Macarenko. In addition, he can be seen on the CBC evening news providing insight into such things as mortgages, real estate and investment strategies.
As an avid real estate investor himself, Mark has many years of personal experience in this area. Along with owning rental properties in the Vancouver area, he has built two homes, joined a consortium to acquire the Sun Tower (heritage building in Vancouver), organized a land assembly, and purchased several multi-unit apartment buildings in Arizona.
Mark is also active in his community. He mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, is a guest speaker for community groups, and volunteers at local high schools teaching ‘Economics for Success’.
Mark resides in Richmond BC with his wife and two young children.
